Cabrera will play the Abierto del Centro with a chance to get another title and the record of the tournament
The 79° Abierto del Centro begins tomorrow, at Córdoba Golf Club. Ángel arrived from Augusta to participate at the event, and said he is prepare to win. By now Cabrera and Romero have won seven times, one less from the record.
“I came to play and to win, these is muy court., where I fell at home”, with few but contundent words, the 2009 Masters champion said at the Abierto de Centro is and special event that wouldn´t change for any other tournament.
Tomorrow will star the 79° Abierto del Centro, at the Córdoba Golf Club in Villa Allende, and between other golfers, Angel Cabrera and Eduardo Romero, will participate, as each year.
Romero and Cabrera have won seven titles each, so both will have the oportunity these time to get the record of the event that has, unitl now, Martin Posse with a total of eight victories.
“El Pato” obtein his first victory at Abierto in 1944. Althought it has past some time since his first participation, Cabrera still has the sames sensations when he stand up at the tee of the first hole.
“I do not like comparations. But I would never miss the tournament. I am happy to return and play in Villa Allende, and give something to the peoble that always support me and follow me”, said Angel.
