Rotary Club honored Cabrera for his success
The entity gave to the golf player the “Laurel de Plata a la Personalidad del Año” (Silver Laurel to This Year’s Celebrity) Award. This award acknowledges admirable Argentineans and their scientific, artistic, technical or cultural achievements.
By Patagonia Golf Management Buenos Aires Rotary Club has chosen Angel Cabrera this year. Cabrera was awarded “Laurel de Plata a la Personalidad del Año” Award as recognition for his victories this year, including Augusta Masters Tournament in April.
With this award, Rotary Club acknowledges people’s achievements in the scientific, artistic, technical and cultural fields.
Some years ago, Rotary Club gave "Silver Laurel" Award to outstanding Argentinean celebrities like writers Jorge Luis Borges, Adolfo Bioy Casares or actresses like China Zorilla and ballet dancer Julio Boca. Sports people who received this award were Gabriela Sabattini and Roberto De Vicenzo.
This Award together with “La Rueda Rotaria” and “El Sol del Plata” Awards was given in the Award Ceremony this Wednesday 24th, in Plaza Hotel. And the director of the TPG Tour, Gustavo Maqueda, received the award on behalf of the Augusta champion.
